Accrington Stanley: Shay McCartan signs after Burnley exit
Teenager Shay McCartan has signed a one-year deal with Accrington Stanley after being released by Burnley.
He is the second new arrival at the Store First Stadium since
"James Beattie is a player I liked growing up, and a striker as well, so I knew he could help me improve," McCartan told the club website.
The 19-year-old played for the Clarets once as a substitute in April 2012.
He ended last season scoring once in 16 appearances for the Tigers.
Beattie added: "I know a lot of people at Burnley were surprised that he was let go.
"He's a young player with massive potential and we're delighted to have him at the club."
