Amine Linganzi impressed by Gillingham supporters
Amine Linganzi says the atmosphere he experienced while playing for Accrington at Priestfield last season was a factor in his move to Gillingham.
The 23-year-old midfielder joined the Gills on a two-year deal last month.
He told BBC Radio Kent: "When I came in the stadium and heard 10,000 people shouting I was really impressed.
"I had a good feeling and that was important for me to come here. I have spoken to a lot of people who have told me I have made a good choice."
He added: "I like [playing in] England and, for me, the atmosphere and the fans are different."
The former St Etienne player hopes he can help Gillingham challenge for promotion from League One when the new campaign gets underway on August 3.
"I'm happy to be here and I hope the manager will give me my chance so I can prove I am capable of helping the team," he said.
"I want to go forward with the club. If we can win promotion this year it will be the best thing. The ambition of all clubs is to go higher."
