Algerian forward Nabil Ghilas has signed for Portuguese champions Porto from relegated Moreirense.

The 23-year-old has signed a four-year deal with a 30m euro ($38.5m) release clause, Porto revealed in a statement.

Ghilas told the cub's website: "Porto is a very big club, the greatest team in Portugal and one of Europe's major clubs.

"My goals are to work hard and play as much as possible. I came to learn and hopefully be a champion this year."

Ghilas scored 13 goals for Moreirense last season as they finished second from bottom and were relegated.

He made his debut for Algeria in June and the same month he got his second cap and scored his first international goal in the match against Benin.
