Double penalty miss costs Sweden win
- From the section Football
Host nation Sweden are forced to settle for a 1-1 draw in their opening Euro 2013 match against Denmark, after missing two second-half penalties.
Denmark goalkeeper Stina Petersen saved both spot-kicks, firstly from Lotta Schelin, and then later a Kosovare Asllani effort, as Sweden wasted the opportunity to start the tournament with a victory.
In the first half, Mariann Knudsen gave Denmark the lead with a shot from the edge of the box, before Nilla Fischer equalised for Sweden with a close-range header.
