Adam Chicksen: Brighton sign left-back from MK Dons
Brighton & Hove Albion have signed MK Dons defender Adam Chicksen for an undisclosed compensation fee.
The 22-year-old left-back, who made 93 appearances for the Dons after making his debut in August 2008, has agreed a three-year deal with the Seagulls.
Brighton's head of football operations David Burke said: "Our scouting department have been aware of him and impressed with his progress at MK Dons.
"He has all the attributes that we are looking for."
Burke added: "He has great potential to establish himself in the Championship."
Chicksen, who can also play at right-back and in midfield, was offered a new deal by the Dons but turned it down in favour of a move to the Amex Stadium.
As he is under the age of 24 the League One club were entitled to compensation for his services under Football League rules.
"Brighton have made the lad an offer which is too good for him to turn down," MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told the club website.
"I have known Adam since he was 14 and have enjoyed coaching him throughout that time. I have no doubt that he will be a success with his new club."
