Nicky Bailey: Millwall sign ex Middlesbrough midfielder

Millwall have completed the signing of former Middlesbrough midfielder Nicky Bailey on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old, who scored four goals in 111 appearances for Boro after joining for £1.4m in July 2010, has signed a two-year deal with the Lions.

He told the club website: "I'm looking forward to a new start at Millwall.

"I believe that with the new players coming in, added to those who did well in the early part of last season, we can be a force in the Championship."

He added: "The fans at The Den are very passionate about their football.

"I hope they will see in me a player who gives 100% to the cause every time I pull on the shirt."
