118 From what I saw of MK Dons last year, all they needed was a dependable striker and they would have walked their league. Mind you, it's not that easy to find such a player these days. Maybe they should see if Sam Baldock WOULD come back. I think his heart is there.
114 SUPER SAMMY BALDOCK, HES ONE OF OUR OWNcome back to the dons boy. Hey 108, enjoy the smash of Griffin Parks woodwork this year, and stop drawing 3 3 to make you look slightly good.
I expect it to be Wolves, Brentford and someone else to go up. Looks like the disgrace at Coventry may take much of the early headlines though.
Hi all, new to the board. Hope you all enjoy the new season but let me warn you all !!! don't under estimate the O's this season. Settled squad not to many additions, but new players are an improvement on the ones let go. Normally slow starters but Russ won't let that happen again this term, you have been warned Carlisle....
113 In that case I apologise and wish you and all Bees fans the very best for the coming season.114 At least everyone in your fantasy team knows how to get relegated!
LEAGUE ONE FANTASY TEAM 2013/14:1. HENNESSEY (WOLVES)2. STEARMAN (WOLVES)3. WARD (WOLVES)4. DOUMBIA (WOLVES)5. MARGREITTER (WOLVES)6. JOHNSON (WOLVES)7. ADOMAH (BRISTOL C)8. O'HARA (WOLVES)9. BALDOCK (BRISTOL C)10. BOUKARI (WOLVES)11. SAKO (WOLVES)
112 oh dear did you miss the irony in my post it's after the word old? this is it :P no insults just friendly banter that you miss read :(
111 Oh dear. Still insulting. My grandfather took me to see a war time match between between Charlton and Arsenal in 1944 when I was 5. Loved the game since. Only problem I've ever had was a trio of louts at Stoke when I went there to see Gillingham play them in a play off semi. But come on Bees fan. You can write better than this.
109 your old :P I have watched The Bees for 45 years.. I've never been attacked at a ground but I've been chased at York once just for being an away fan lol
109 Maybe it's a generation thing (and I understand your need to react) but I've been watching football for nearly 70 years and come from an age when one not only respected opposing fans but welcomed them. The hatred that can be generated by some fans now can only be detrimental to the game. And the game will always be more important than the club.
@108 - human nature to give it back.. ZzzzZZZZz how on earth did you decide football becomes losers with such comments? it's not a fact!
There was I thinking how refreshing it was to have intelligence comments on one of these blogs when along comes 104 and 106 to prove me wrong. Let's get back to serious consideration of what could be an exciting season without resort to insults to other clubs and their fans. Football becomes the loser by such comments.
CensoredbyBBC wrote...Leyton Orient, Bradford & Colchester upCoventry, Tranmere, Swindon & Stevenage down//////////////////////////////////Got marked down four times - wos wrong, think Cov, Tranmere, Swindon and Stevenage are realistic candidates for the drop...'Big' club fans...give it a break...you are L1 now - get over yourselves.
@104 cockneys, do you live up north you fool.. your silly plastic fan..
@70 - The reason why it's Blades v Notts County on TV tonight is that the Football League have arranged it this way to start their celebrations of 125 years of professional football - the world's oldest professional team playing at the world's oldest professional stadium. (Lucky, from that prespective, that they both happen to be in the same league!!)
86 LOL1- Ummm, Posh2- MK Dons3- Wolves4- Bristol City5- Brentford (will NOT get promoted you biased Cockneys)6- Preston
wolves are definitely relegated no doubt about that
@97, just want to echo your post, spot on. The problems, tbh, from top to bottom, are threefold. 1) the bossmann ruling. 2) from that silly money being paid to players, 3) expectations by board and, let's be honest, fans. If you look at the wages being paid even in the lowest division of the FL, it's no wonder so many clubs are in trouble. No business can survive by paying more than they earn.
Good luck to Coventry a very very sad day, hope you guys come through it.
