Stranraer held off Brechin City's second-half comeback to progress to the Scottish League Cup second round.
Ryan Borris opened the scoring with a low finish before Scott Robertson's strike doubled the home side's lead.
Christopher Aitken converted a penalty after Martin Grehan was felled by Brechin's Jonathan Brown and David McKenna fired Stranraer's fourth.
Substitute Ryan Donnelly netted twice to give Brechin hope and Robert Barr scored a further consolation late on.
