on 12 Aug 2013 11:44We're into the season now, up and running. Earlier friendlies are less indicative of standing, as players are not fit yet. Liverpool won all their other friendlies and are ready to start their season. Our result DOES say something significant. I'm not seriously speculating on what Celtic would do in the EPL on the back of one result, just making a point ... we would hold out own in the EPL.

on 11 Aug 2013 18:01You're right the EPL isn't all that it hypes itself as, this was evident in the show by EPL teams in the CL and Europa league - but crowing about a friendly victory over LFC is hardly an indication on where Celtic lie if they were in the EPL otherwise Celtic would be mid-table Bundersliga 2 standard if you go by friendly victories

on 11 Aug 2013 17:24@43 Sure, we're still counting them ... and the closer to proper season and starting to be properly fit and playing accordingly, the more we'll count them. We're up and running now and teaching people like Liverpool that the almighty EPL is not quite the all conquering league that it may think it is.

It's a pity Union Berlin aren't in the (S)Premiership otherwise they would romp home every time according to your logic - are we still counting friendly victories as noteworthy following your previous comments?
Good luck ICT for a Euro push this season -

on 11 Aug 2013 09:13This must be the weakest top league EVER. A totally one horse league, none of those two teams has a cat in hells chance of winning anything. ICT for top six though, as if that really means anything.

on 11 Aug 2013 08:11As a Utd fan , and yes I was at the game yesterday. I do understand we have a new bunch of players and it may take time to gel.
BUT yesterdays showing was PATHETIC, we could not pass the ball, (well we could but to the ICT players). The team was all out of sorts, didn't know what they were doing. As for pulling Rankin off WHY he at least tried to do something.
Buck up UTD or things will be bad. -

on 11 Aug 2013 07:54@38 After yesterday, the solution is now quite clear. We will continue to play in Scotland, with our first team. Our B team will play in England. They were good enough to beat a close to full strength Liverpool yesterday, so we can expect something like a top 6 finish for the 'Celtic Benchwarmers'.
Not many Scousers about today, are there??!! Come out come out wherever you are! -

Celtic are based in Glasgow and have a 60,800+ stadium. They are hardly going to move to England where the will lose their paradise -

on 11 Aug 2013 01:16Congrats to ICT and to PTFC and I'm sure you'll support the following statement;
" Another Scottish team wipes the smug smile off the BPL, but they will never acknowledge it until we beat one of them again in the CL and even then they will deny it"
So where does it end? -

on 11 Aug 2013 00:40I cannot believe there is no LFC fans coming on to tell ICT fans that their win is worthless because Scottish football is a pub league etc. I wonder why, if CFC had put that team out against SP teams it would have been cuffed. Bhoys against men, at one point I thought NL was going to put on his 8 year old son.

As opposed to every second story 'Wayne Rooney isn't happy", "Spurs reject bid for Bale", and "Suarez wants to move".
I know I'm bored to the back teeth with, what I'd imagine you term 'news'.
Please let the English season kick off, with the 16-team relegation fight that is your top flight.
