Michael Moffat scored twice as Ayr United began their Scottish League One campaign with a comfortable win at Arbroath.
Moffat hit the post before converting Scott McLaughlin's cross for the opener.
Another shot from the forward following good work by Michael McGowan doubled the visitors' advantage.
And substitute Alan Forrest's strike completed the scoring for Mark Roberts' side.
