Ryan Wallace's second-minute penalty gave Dunfermline a narrow Scottish League One win over East Fife.
The Pars forward won the spot-kick when he was fouled by Pat Clarke and beat Michael Andrews from 12 yards.
Dunfermline looked lively throughout the first half but were unable to build on their lead.
East Fife kept goalkeeper Ryan Scully busy in the second half and Dunfermline's Josh Falkingham had a late effort blocked by Paul Willis.
