Ten-man Woking registered their first league win of the season as second-half goals from Gavin Williams and Joe McNerney consigned Chester to defeat.
The Cards had Josh Payne sent off for violent conduct just before half-time.
Williams broke the deadlock for the visitors with a neat right-footed finish just before the hour.
Woking doubled their lead with defender McNerney heading home John Nutter's free kick. Chester are still waiting for their first goal of the season.

Woking manager Garry Hill told BBC Surrey:
"losing a player didn't help the situation and I've got no complaints with the decision.
"So coming in at half-time at 0-0 we had to reshuffle and rethink where we were going to go. If there were any questions to be asked about character or spirit or belief or hard work, I felt we showed it.
"Gavin Williams is a quality player, he's played 28 games last year in League One and I think we can see the quality when he put the ball in the net and that was a cushion for us at the time and we kept things tight.
"To come away and play the way we did and show that character second half and keep a clean sheet was a big three points."
