Wolves move not motivated by money - Kevin McDonald
Wolves midfielder Kevin McDonald has said his move from Sheffield United was not motivated by money.
The 24-year-old moved to Molineux for an undisclosed fee earlier this week to bring an end to his two-year spell with the Blades.
He told BBC Radio Sheffield: "It was a really tough decision to make and there wasn't much difference between the money being offered by the two clubs.
"It wasn't based on finance at all, I just felt it was time to move on."
He added: "When I came down to Wolves I was really impressed with what the manager had to say. They want promotion and they won't settle for anything less."
McDonald, who could make his Wolves debut against Bristol City on Saturday, believes his old club will be challenging his new side for the promotion places.
"I think we'll be right up there and I'd be surprised if Sheffield United aren't too," he said.
"The manager is getting everyone playing football and all of the lads are buzzing and I don't think that'll change with me leaving."
