Spurs were better team - Villas-Boas

Tottenham manager André Villas-Boas says his side were the better team and deserved all three points in their 1-0 away victory against newly-promoted Crystal Palace.

Spurs' £26m record signing Roberto Soldado scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, after Aaron Lennon's cross was handled by full-back Dean Moxey.

Villas-Boas was pleased with the performance after a "hard pre-season of work" and said his new players "will only get better".
