Gateshead secured their first points of the season as Liam Hatch's goal earned them a draw against Macclesfield.
The home side went into the game on a run of four straight defeats and made a bad start when Scott Boden scored from close range after 19 minutes.
Boden scored his and Macclesfield's second from 12 yards shortly before half-time, but Gateshead hit back when Carl Magnay headed in from a corner.
And Hatch nodded in from another corner with 20 minutes to go to seal a point.
