Northampton Town have signed former Sheffield United midfielder Matty Harriott until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old started his career with Luton Town before moving to United, where he made five appearances.
"Matty will increase the competition in central midfield," said Cobblers manager Aidy Boothroyd.
"He is strong, he can be physical and he has a good engine. He can play as well and he is really hungry and desperate to be given a chance."
Boothroyd continued: "He did well for us in pre-season and I think he will be a good addition."
Harriott had loan spells at Burton and Alfreton while with the Blades, who released him in June.
Meanwhile, Northampton's 18-year-old midfielder Claudio Dias is joining Corby Town on a month's loan.
He will join one of his Cobblers team-mates, David Moyo, at the Southern League Premier club.
