Chester earned their first point at home this season with a goalless stalemate against Dartford.
Alex Titchiner forced Darts goalkeeper Alan Julian into the only meaningful save of the game with a 25-yard effort, before threatening again on 14 minutes.
Earlier, Danny Harris created a chance for the visitors, but his shot from inside the box flew wide.
After the break Chester's Lewis Turner fired over the crossbar, while Kenny Clark did the same for Dartford.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Chester manager Neil Young told BBC Radio Merseyside:
"For half an hour we were good, but our decision making in the final third wasn't great.
"We've had great chances but we haven't even worked the goalkeeper in most instances.
"They pushed on a bit in the second half and I thought we looked tired.
"We've kept two clean sheets now but we need something at the other end of the pitch to score goals."
Dartford assistant manager Paul Sawyer told BBC Radio Kent:
"Very pleased, we wanted to take something away, we changed our shape and we tried to play a little bit more to feet.
"I thought on another day we could have nicked three points.
"The positive side is that we did create today, we were still pushing for the win at the end, and we're happy to take a point away."
