Greg Stewart scored an 89th-minute winner as Cowdenbeath edged past Falkirk with a narrow victory.
The first half was a quiet affair with very few clear-cut chances for either team.
Falkirk's Rory Loy came close in the closing stages of the opening period but his low strike did not get the better of Cowden goalkeeper Grant Adam.
The hosts dominated possession in the second half and had a number of opportunities to open the scoring.
The best of these chances fell to Jordan Morton, who sliced wide from close range in the 64th minute of the match.
Cowdenbeath finally made the breakthrough in the 89th minute when Stewart swept the ball past Falkirk shot-stopper Michael McGovern from the edge of the area.
