Stenhousemuir 1-1 Ayr Utd

Stenhousemuir and Ayr both remain just outside the automatic promotion places following a draw at Ochilview Park.

Ross McMillan almost opened the scoring for Stenhousemuir after 30 minutes, heading Brown Ferguson's corner over from the edge of the six-yard box.

However it was the visitors who took the lead after 41 minutes, thanks to a curling right-footed strike from Mark Roberts that flew into the top-right corner.

Ayr almost doubled their lead two minutes later when Anthony Marenghi's left-footed shot clattered back off the post from the middle of the penalty area.

The Honest Men came close to doubling their advantage after 53 minutes, but Robert Crawford fired over.

And the Warriors struck back through Darren Smith after 70 minutes.

The midfielder picked up John Gemmell's pass before sweeping a right-footed shot into the bottom left-hand corner.
