Queen of the South 1-2 Dumbarton

A late goal from substitute Garry Fleming earned Dumbarton victory away to Queen of the South.

Colin Nish had a chance to put the visitors ahead after eight minutes when he latched onto the end of Mitchel Megginson's cut-back, but the striker fired clean over the bar.

The Sons took the lead after 18 minutes, when Chris Turner's half-volley from the edge of the box flew into the bottom left-hand corner.

Dumbarton's lead lasted all of seven minutes when Iain Russell side-footed home Ryan McGuffie's cross, to pull the Doonhammers level.

Dumbarton came close to regaining the lead after 65 minutes, but Turner's shot was parried away by Calum Antell.

The Sons snatched victory with four minutes remaining. Bryan Prunty's shot was blocked by Turner, the striker played the rebound into the path of Fleming who slid the ball home to earn Dumbarton the three points.
