Wycombe Wanderers 1-2 Burton Albion

Billy Kee struck a brace for Burton as they ended a four game winless run with victory over 10-man Wycombe.

Kee opened the scoring when he chested the ball down and fired a shot into the bottom corner from outside the box.

The hosts were reduced to 10-men when Charles Dunne earned a second yellow card for bringing down Phil Edwards.

Kee then doubled Burton's lead from the penalty spot after he had been brought down by Gary Doherty before Matt McClure's late close-range consolation.

VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"I thought there was a few poor [refereeing] decisions in the game.

"In the second half we weren't good enough. When we did get the ball down to play we created some really good chances.

"Charles [Dunne] was really rash in his challenge, the last thing I said to him was 'be careful'."

Burton boss Gary Rowett told BBC Radio Derby:

"I thought on the whole it was our most controlled performance of the season in terms of both defence and attacking threat.

"You can see what a difference having a fit Billy Kee makes. That's three goals in two games and I think he worked really, really well with Adam McGurk as a partner.

"Overall, I thought the balance was a little bit better. We were a little bit more focused and there was a little bit more emphasis on working for each other and trying to get that team effort back that we need to have."
