Chester 0-0 Kidderminster Harriers

Promotion-chasing Kidderminster Harriers were held to their second consecutive goalless draw in nine days by struggling Chester.

Jamie Reed shot wide for Chester before the break, while Harriers old boy John Danby saved from midfielder Lee Fowler.

Jack Byrne went close for Kidderminster in the second half, heading over Danny Jackman's cross from close range.

Joe Lolley then had a shot blocked on the line before Lee Vaughan's follow-up effort was ruled out for offside.

The injury-hit Harriers, who remain third in the Conference Premier despite failing to find the net for the third time in four games, were without top scorer Michael Gash (groin), as well as defenders Chey Dunkley (knee), Mickey Demetriou (broken wrist) and midfielder Jamie Tolley (Achilles).

Kidderminster Harriers manager Steve Burr told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

"The injury situation doesn't help. We're putting a few square pegs in round holes at the minute, but we can't do anything about injured players sat in the stand.

"We've got to go with what we've got and have to try and get the best out them. The one positive I suppose I can take is that we didn't lose. The defence held firm again but I'd sooner concede and us score goals than see any more 0-0s.

"Joe Lolley gave us a spark. He had more efforts when he came on than we've seen from the whole team in the 90 minutes. But he's still a young lad. I want to be putting him on when the side are flowing, not to try and win us games."
