Charlie Strutton made it six goals in five games for Braintree to fire them to victory over nine-man Chester.
Hestruck twice in the space of 60 seconds to put the hosts in control, converting James Mulley's cross and then slotting home Chez Izaac's through ball, both with his left foot.
A Daniel Sparkes corner was poked home by defender Dean Wells for the third.
Chester defenders Paul Linwood and Lee Pugh were both shown straight red cards on a day to forget for the visitors.

Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire told BBC Essex:
"It's nice when plans come together, we wanted to start sharp, we knew they would play three at the back. We had a little plan and it worked very quickly.
"We've ended up winning the game quite easily.
"Charlie [Strutton] is leaving us now, he's ended up with six goals, he's done great for us.
"I'm sorry to see him go but we've got players who can step in. They've got to step up to the mark."
