Match ends, Stevenage 2, Crawley Town 0.
Goals from Peter Hartley and Michael Doughty earned Stevenage their first back-to-back wins of the season with victory over Crawley.
Hartley put Boro in front early on, nodding home his first goal for the club, with the Red Devils missing several good chances before the break.
Nicky Adams and James Hurst were both denied equalisers, but Doughty sealed victory for the hosts in injury time.
Stevenage move up to 17th, with Crawley dropping a place to 12th.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Stevenage boss Graham Westley speaks to BBC Three Counties Radio:
"We tried to seal the deal on the game in the second half and just get our work rate and organisation on top of it but not even that really stopped it.
"We just had to be gutsy and dig in and wait for the late bit of patient counter attack to put a seal on the game.
"Michael Doughty was excellent all afternoon. I think him, Luke Jones and Chris Day were probably my three outstanding performers of the afternoon. But the team really did work hard and showed a lot of guts for each other."
Crawley Town boss Richie Barker told BBC Sussex:
"We've played worst than that this season and won games and we certainly played worst than that and drawn games as well. It's tough because we've come away and you say to the players there are obvious things to improve on but I can't fault them on their effort.
"The first goal is very disappointing and we knew what we were going to get when we got here and set pieces are a big thing.
"I thought we dominated the game for probably 80% of the game. We had the most shots, the most crosses, the most corners and the most possession by a mile and we've come away with nothing."
