Stranraer slumped to their first defeat in six games as Dunfermline came from behind to secure victory at Stair Park.
Jamie Longworth gave the Blues fired in the opener after 11 minutes, but a Stephen Husband free-kick levelled.
After 69 minutes, Josh Falkingham struck a fierce effort from the middle of the box past Mitchell to give the Pars the lead.
The home side were unable to respond and Stranraer were unable to extend their unbeaten run.
