Inter Milan scored three first-half goals to beat Verona at the San Siro and climb up to fourth in Serie A.
The hosts were 2-0 up in 12 minutes, defender Jonathan's deflected volley finding the net before Rodrigo Palacio scored from close range.
Raphael Martinho made it 2-1 but Inter restored their two-goal cushion through Esteban Cambiasso after Yuto Nagatomo hit the post.
Rolando made it 4-1 before Romulo reduced the deficit.
Inter's Ishak Belfodil and Verona's Vangelis Moras were both shown red cards after the final whistle for an off-the-ball incident.
The win moved Inter above Verona in the table and to within six points of leaders Roma, who are away to Udinese on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Sampdoria climbed away from the relegation zone with a hard-fought 1-0 win over 10-man Atalanta.
Shkodran Mustafi scored the only goal before Constantin Nica was sent off for the visitors.
