Crewe Alexandra 0-0 Bradford City

Crewe keeper Alan Martin made a crucial save on his first start in two months to earn a point against Bradford City.

Martin prevented a James Hanson header from flashing into the bottom corner amid heavy Bradford pressure.

The visitors looked the most potent although both frontmen wasted chances.

For the home side, fit-again defender Harry Davis forced City keeper Jon McLaughlin to palm his curling free-kick around the post, while Brad Inman curled just wide late on.

VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis told BBC Radio Stoke:

"It was difficult, swirling, wet and slippery, but we still had the gumption and courage to get it down and play.

"I was pleased with Harry Davis. He was desperate to get back. He hates missing football. A month out of the game is like a year to Harry. And I thought he was excellent again.

"Bringing him back in just steadied us down a bit. He makes good decisions. He's starting to be an organiser at the back,.

"For a change we nearly actually won it instead of actually losing losing it. It was nice to be up that end of the pitch."
