Hartlepool United 2-1 Dagenham & Redbridge

Hartlepool earned their fifth win in six games as they edged out Dagenham in an entertaining game at Victoria Park.

The home side took the lead when James Poole stabbed home after good work from Luke James, while Medy Elito and Zavon Hines went close for the Daggers.

The visitors grabbed an equaliser when Hines' angled shot beat Scott Flinders and Neil Austin produced a magnificent tackle to deny the striker a second.

And it was the home side who found the winner with Andy Monkhouse nodding in.
