Jon Daly scored twice as Rangers eased past Airdrieonians at Ibrox to reach the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
Daly curled a shot home on 49 minutes and headed in his 14th goal of the season from a Richard Foster cross shortly afterwards.
Daly was denied a hat-trick by a goal-line clearance.
And the scoring was completed with 10 minutes remaining when substitute David Templeton converted a clever delivery from Nicky Law.
Ahead of kick-off, Abba hit 'Fernando' was played in tribute to former Ibrox player Fernando Ricksen, who this week revealed he had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.
There was also a minute of applause by fans after two minutes - reflecting his squad number - in support of the Dutchman.
Kyle Hutton made his first start of the season after injury and the Rangers midfielder had a shot deflected wide before forcing a save from veteran Tony Bullock, who was loaned out by Arbroath for the game.
Airdrie were unable to play regular keeper Scott Gallagher since he has been borrowed from Rangers and Bullock looked on as Nicky Clark and Lee McCulloch went close with headers.
However, the Diamonds' resistance was broken soon after the restart as the visitors failed to clear a Peralta cross and Daly found the far bottom corner of the net.
The Irishman doubled his tally four minutes later when he threw himself at Foster's cross to leave Bullock with no chance.
Home fans were calling for a penalty when Airdrie skipper Darren McCormack smothered the ball with his body in the area but referee John Beaton awarded an indirect free-kick.
McCulloch's shot from next to the penalty spot then failed to breach the wall of Airdrie players strung across the goal.
Daly was denied his hat-trick when his shot was hooked off the line as Rangers continued to press.
Templeton put the tie beyond Airdrie with 10 minutes to go when he met Law's cut-back 15 yards out and stroked home goal number three for Rangers.
