The Southern League Division One Central side twice went close in the first half, with Ross Oulton forcing a diving save just before the break.
They continued to frustrate the home side until Gary Roberts got on the end of a free kick.
Jimmy Ryan's deflected 25-yard shot then ended Daventry's Cup dream.
