Darren Lavery's eighth goal of the season helped Berwick Rangers knock 10-man Culter out of the Scottish Cup.
Kenny O'Brien put the home side ahead with a header then Scott Dalziel coolly slotted in just after the break.
Jamie McAllister received a second yellow, but Culter had a route back into the game after Scott McArthur was fouled in the area.
Allan Youngson powered the penalty home, but Lavery restored the two-goal cushion with curling strike.
The replay victory over the North junior champions means that League Two outfit host Championship side Dumbarton in the fourth round.
