AFC Telford United moved up to sixth in the table after Adam Farrell's early strike proved enough to see off Vauxhall Motors at the Bucks Head.
Farrell made the most of uncertainty in the visitors' defence to fire Telford ahead after just seven minutes.
Telford could and should have increased their lead, but Motors goalkeeper Zac Jones denied Tony Gray three times, Sean Clancy and Wes Baynes.
Lloyd Evans tested Ryan Young with the away side's only serious chance.
Two home wins in four days, after beating Stalybridge 3-1 at the weekend, means only goal difference separates Telford from a place in the Conference North play-off zone.

Telford manager Liam Watson told BBC Radio Shropshire:
"It's frustrating. I know we've got goals in this team.
"I felt we played some really good stuff again, especially in the first half.
"But if you want to be challenging [for promotion], you've got to create chances and keep clean sheets."
