Guernsey FC manager Tony Vance was frustrated by the way his team lost their unbeaten away record in the Isthmian League Division One South.
The Green Lions are just outside the play-off places after losing at fourth-placed Leatherhead.
"It's disappointing because it's a team we could have beaten," Vance told BBC Radio Guernsey.
"We just couldn't finish - in fairness, if we were still going now we wouldn't be able to score."
Guernsey take on table-topping Peacehaven and Telscombe at Footes Lane next and Vance believes he'll have a stronger squad to pick from.
"We've got to regroup, but as it's a home game we'll probably have everyone available and that makes a massive difference," added Vance.
