@661 davidindevonThat was amazing. BR has even frightened me with this effort.
Wilshere seems to have a terrible attitude. Always complaining to Ref and seems to think no-ones allowed to tackle him when dwells on the ball for half an hour. Wenger/Hodgson and senior players need to get hold of him and tell him to focus on playing not whining or posing. Kids got talent but poor attitude at the moment.
@662.Sams TownNot sure if its the defenders that are City's problem. Individually, they are good players but don't get any protection from midfield. Need to respect opponents a bit more away from home and you still haven't replaced De Jong. @660.BaggiosPonytailAgree, just hoping Wilshere recovers his form for the WC, although I'm becoming increasingly doubtful as time goes on.
@658 AndyCUnfortunately it's square pegs in round holes, very generous to LFC, why select Skrtel at CB(L) and would it be so difficult for him to consider swapping Welbeck and Henderson's flanks...@650 BaggiosPonytailBR has taken criticism & the tiki-taka(?paying dividends) has been set aside in part with loss of Reina, Skrtel at CB, Coutinho on the flank & lack of chances for the Welsh Xavi
@647.Liverpool will be a real test this season, they always are but they're looking really sharp this season.@655.I thought there was a few people missing, and more WUMS lurking than usual (no reference to anyone currently posting).@662. Pellegrini keeps himself to himself and goes about his business quietly, whereas Mancini seemed to let the media get to him at times. Need Nastasic back.
649 armoury showOK then.Whilst obviously I hope City will win the league, I wouldn't want to put anything significant on it. Anything slightly more clear cut than QPR 2012 will do fine.652 GrobAs a City fan, I'm very rarely confident whoever the opponent is and wherever we're playing! Such optimism has been beaten out of me by long periods of Cityitis.
@654. TotoRiina Chelsea will be top at some stage.......and I don't think Arsenal will crack up..............City's big wins at home are misleading.........the defence is still not right.............I will be happy with a last 8 in Champs league............The big bonus is that the players appear to be in good nick...& the manager is calm and reassuring....not one negative story under him.
646. proper_dinloI am glad LFC did not get any of those Spurs purchases. My goodness, we may have been challenging Manu 4 10 th place!647 dougiegrahamEvening. If we can re- produce today's form v Chelski then a win is a distinct possibility. Citeh is another matter! 648. SydneyStatsManI noticed you spelt 3 of the names incorrectly. U also got the 1st 5 wrong.
@641 Chubby1He certainly has talent but seems to spend a lot of his time arguing with the ref, diving into challenges or falling over and losing the ball (while screaming for a free-kick). He needs to focus on what he does well and ignore the hype.@656 davidindevonProblem is name me some (youngish) alternatives - and not those you already mentioned as they are attacking midfielders.
Is Pellegrini's job any harder than the beeb finding the funding to fly Mr Murray into Leeds after paying to fly Mr Hain, and 150 assorted beeb employees to South Africa?
Has anyone else seen Garth Crooks team of the Week? the guys a walking oxygen thief.
City fans are realists decades of supporting the blues taught us that. Confident of winning the title .... No. We have the best squad, play the best football and are a pleasure to watch. Win the title ? We hope.
638. BaggioYou answered my response in your post! Cleverley is not some new player this season but has been around a long time. I despair of reading 'with a bit more experience' and such like. No discernible improvement in 4yrs. How long does he get. No WC place I hope. Wilshere is a lazy sick note IMO.
637.TotoRiina Several excellent Man U fans (and fans of other clubs for that matter) used to post here regularly but do not visit much now. Partly because an alternative became available and partly because this place (with some brave exceptions) is inundated with people looking to wum and abuse.
Sams Town.Agreed my money's on Chelsea, it would be nice to win it but I don't think we will... I reckon we'll have a trophyless season but do well in the Champions League (QF/SF).I hope we get PSG tomorrow, don't want a major power even though I think we'd have a better chance of beating Barca than we would against Real, Athletico Madrid or Dortmund. Would love to knock United out in the QF!!
@daveindevon....."If LFC had followed Manu in expanding our stadium we would not have stood still 4 so long."Yet curiously, Liverpool have spent more in the pursuit of trophies than Utd since 1992. Go figure.
@645 The problem with last year was that they didn't improve the squad, while other teams did. This year they didn't make the same mistakes and now have, easily, the best squad in the league and Pellegrini has them firing at home.As a Liverpool fan i'm not confident about coming to the Etihad over xmas!
648. SydneyStatsManYep, they're not footballers, just random ppl you've mentioned.
