Roma 3-0 Livorno

Roma's Francesco Totti (third left) celebrates with his teammates after winning their Italian Serie A soccer match against Livorno

Roma kept up the pressure on Italian Serie A leaders Juventus with a comfortable victory over Livorno, who returned to the bottom of the table.

Mattia Destro gave Rudi Garcia's side an early lead when he latched on to a back-heel flick from Gervinho before beating goalkeeper Francesco Bardi.

Dutchman Kevin Strootman added a second when he slotted in the loose ball after Destro's chip had been blocked.

Adem Ljajic drilled in Roma's third 12 minutes from time.

Roma also went close through Mehdi Benatia, whose overhead kick from a corner flew over the bar, while Bardi pulled off a great save to deny Ljajic.

Former Arsenal striker Gervinho powered a close-range header wide and Destro found the net just before half-time only to see his effort ruled out for offside.

The Giallorossi remain eight points adrift of Juventus, who earned a 4-2 home win against Sampdoria later on Saturday.
