Verona 2-2 Juventus

Luca Toni celebrates

Verona came from 2-0 down to hold runaway leaders Juventus to a draw.

Carlos Tevez put the visitors in front with a first-time finish after Rafael parried a Kwadwo Asamoah cross, and added a second from Paul Pogba's pass.

Former Juve striker Luca Toni pulled one back with a header and was denied a leveller by a diving Gianluigi Buffon.

But with seconds remaining of injury time, Juanito headed Romulo's cross past Buffon to deny Juve the chance to go 11 points clear at the top.

Earlier in stoppage time, they were denied a penalty when Stephan Lichtsteiner appeared to handle in the box under pressure from Toni.

It was a result that looked highly unlikely at half-time, when Juve led 2-0 having had 71% of the possession, and eight shots to fifth-placed Verona's none.

Juventus, who gave a debut to Southampton loan signing Dani Osvaldo, remain nine points above second-placed Roma, who were held 0-0 in the capital city derby with Lazio and have a game in hand on the Turin side.

It is just the second time Juve have dropped points in 15 Serie A matches, with last month's 1-1 draw at Lazio the only other league game they have not won since October.

Tevez, a summer signing from Manchester City, is the second top-scorer in Serie A this season with 13 goals, one behind Fiorentina's sidelined striker Giuseppe Rossi.
