Bournemouth defender Charlie Daniels will head to Italy to see a specialist as he attempts to speed up his return from injury.
Daniels, 27, was injured early in their 2-1 victory over Huddersfield and is set to be out for up to three weeks.
But Cherries manager Eddie Howe hopes the trip will help with his recovery.
"Charlie is off to Rome this weekend to have intensive treatment on his injury so hopefully that will help him," Howe told BBC Radio Solent.
The former Leyton Orient defender previously visited the Fifa-registered clinic in Italy in September, when troubled by a long-standing foot injury.
Daniels' absence from the side means that veteran defender Ian Harte is likely to get an extended run in the Cherries team.
The 36-year-old played in the home defeat to Leicester on 1 February, his first start since 19 October last year.
