Yet again, unless it's already been mentioned,we're judging refereeing decisions by action replays and in slow motion at that. Not that I'm a big fan of some of the refs in our Premiership but we're given an unfair advantage with access to a tv.Never mind goal line technology, a token gesture, let's go the whole way to eliminate a majority of these disputes.
@1591 Kompany was the player that caused the 1st goal 2 happen. Watch the build up, the other 3 defenders run up 2 take a high line leaving Messi offside but Kompany (nowhere near Messi) jogs up and plays him on. Demichellis was tasked 2 man mark Messi & he then has 2 track back & make a last ditch tackle. But it was Kompany's mistake that cause the situation.
1587 ESG "Hapless Kompany played him on, yet Demichellis gets the blame"are you serious? Kompany was the only City player to show his worth in that game.. Demichellis was never getting the ball so stupid to dive in. Should have stayed on his feet and tried to unbalance Messi while he shoots, even if it goes in, City still have 11 vs 11 and game on.
I'm a United supporter but I fully agree with Pellegrini. I get the impression that referees definitely have an agenda against English teams. Just look back at the last three years in the CL and see how many English teams had players sent off for simple fouls which would have been overlooked by local referees.
Pellegrini should be sacked. No tactical nous what-so-ever.Should've played his normal team rather than make changes... it shows he is scared of Barca. You don't see Barca dropping Iniesta to play an extra defensive minded player.Nevermind there is always next year.... but for now, c'mon United!
Moyes is playing a team of Greek waiters with the Head waiter being sold to Fulham whilst City and Arsenal were playing 2 of the top 3 teams in the World. Mid table out of the cups United getting above themselves again. Yep Messi came back from an offside position but the game has gone now. Groundhog day yesterday as Arsenal duplicated the City match profile. Credit to Demichellis saying my fault
@1586 "Didn't Messi come from an offside position to collect the ball...has anyone commented on that" - Nobody commented on that because it never happened. Hapless Kompany played him on, yet Demichellis gets the blame....

city got spanked by Barca.Arsenil got spanked by Bayern.Looks like it's up to Davey Moyes to show them how it's done and Man Utd to once again fly the flag for english teams. Different manager but times haven't changed!
good god he sounds like ferguson
Is there a rule in football that says if a player fouls another in a continuous manner, the foul has to be awarded at the initial point of contact? If a player gets his jersey pulled outside the box, but decides to continue and subsequently gets tripped in the box, is the referee obliged to give the free kick outside the box?
1581. RossisHattrick1982 I think it suits him fine. It's not the first time he's had a moan. He's just another whinging manager. Except he has a slight racist undertone to his moan.
Of course Pelligrini wants to save face after a bad defeat.Someone should tell Pelligrina though that as well as the fact that it does not suit him, he should let Wenger remain the Queen of the Moaning Minnie PL Managers!
