Kevan Hurst signs new Southend United contract
Southend United have handed a new two-year deal to top scorer Kevan Hurst.
The 28-year-old midfielder was set to be out of contract in the summer and has 11 goals and 11 assists for Phil Brown's side this term.
"The club is only going to keep moving forwards under the gaffer," the former Walsall player told the club website.
"I've said all along that I wanted to remain with Southend United, and I'm over the moon now that it has all been agreed."
