Middlesbrough's on-loan Real Madrid goalkeeper Tomas Mejias will miss four to five weeks with a dislocated finger.
The 25-year-old Spaniard but complications with the deal meant it was only announced on 12 February.
He made his debut in last Saturday's
Boro keeper this week, so Jason Steele and Dimi Konstantopoulos will now compete for a starting spot.
