David Gray opened the scoring after a quarter of an hour, firing Scott Johnston's ball past keeper Grant Hay.
Bryan Deasley doubled the Gable Endies' lead as the half-time whistle neared, finishing high into the goal after Graham Webster's pass.
Johnston was denied by a good Hay save, while Michael Bolochoweckyj shot wide for the visitors late on.
