Premier League predictions: Lawro v Ricky & Simon of Kaiser Chiefs

BBC Sport expert Mark Lawrenson

BBC Sport's football expert Mark Lawrenson is pitting his wits against a different guest each week this season.

His opponents for the weekend Premier League fixtures are singer Ricky Wilson and bassist Simon Rix, from Leeds indie band Kaiser Chiefs.

Kaiser Chiefs Focus predictions

Rix, a Leeds supporter, told BBC Sport: "We called ourselves Kaiser Chiefs because we wanted a name that was strong and memorable. Kaiser means King.

"But it was also because of former Leeds captain Lucas Radebe [who used to play for South African club Kaizer Chiefs]. He was a leader of men and an all-round good guy. He is someone to aspire to."

Wilson, who is currently appearing as a judge on BBC talent show The Voice, is less of a football fan and admits: "If either of us could predict the results, we wouldn't be in a band. We are not a pair of octopi, we're rockers!"

A correct result (ie picking a win, draw or defeat) is worth ONE point. A correct score earns THREE points.

Last weekend, Lawro got three correct results from five Premier League games, with one perfect score. His score of five points saw him beat Bastille drummer Woody, who got one correct result, with no perfect scores, giving him a score of one point.

Any points earned for the five Premier League games which were postponed because of the FA Cup quarter-finals will be added after the matches take place.

Lawro also correctly guessed the result of two of the four FA Cup ties, while Woody scored zero. But these do not count towards their weekly total or the averages for the season.

We're keeping a record of the totals for Lawro and his guests (below), and showing a table of how the Premier League would look if all of Lawro's predictions were correct (at the bottom of the page).
