1750. BaggiosMorning.I agree. A new manager will need new players which could take yrs. I don't think Carrick or Fellaini cover enough km per game to excite Klopp ;-D1751. ESGAgain, he had no choice as players like Iniesta were a by-product of the Fidelity Strategy that was set up yrs before, bit like at BM. He was just their at the right time.
@1750 Baggio - I really don't buy this "4-5th best squad". Really? For starters, strikers wise, only arguably city have a better squad. Winger wise, likewise possibly only cfc. CMs wise, ok lacking, Spurs / cfc / Ars probs have strongest. Defence wise, again, Utd up there as 1 of strongest. As I keep stressing, the poor training, tactics, set up & Management has made this squad look poor.
@1751 The problem with your argument is that most other teams in the PL have improved since then, and more of them will improve again. Be honest, Do you really think you could have won the league with Vidic and Ferdinand at the back? or Carrick and Cleverly in MF? Players like Young, Valencia, Cleverly and Smalling have gone backwards and aren't good enough to play for Man Utd.
Not playing Moyes dour lump it up to Feilani tactics would be a huge help. It's a bigger hindrance than SAF ability to get more out of the squad was a help Ive not been one to call for the guys head but it's clear he only knows one way to play, a style alien to the current squad backed up by anyone with speed being on the bench or not in the squad and it's not going to change anytime soon
@1747 - Ah that explains it, basically need to act like an a-hole!Van Gaal? He's off to Spurs in the summer anyway isn't he? Rather have a younger manager like Poyet or Poch.Liverpool can win the the league but they won't. City will, probably hoping Chelsea go very far in the CL now. Good luck to United for tonight. Arsenal Top 4 again but need to win the FA Cup. Funny if they don't!
@1746 Sam - Why wouldn't it? @1748 "You need to replace around 10-12 players within your squad" - Ah the old, "the same plyrs that strolled 2 EPL title are now rubbish & need replacing" routine. Deary me. @1749 Barmy - Morning. He also gave debuts 2 Iniesta & co & set up the framework w/which Rijkaard prospered with. Like I said, LVG in, then 2-3 yrs, Giggs 2 take over having learnt frmhim&SAF
@1749 BarmyArmyMorning.I think the manager thing is a bit of a red herring. The current Man Utd squad is probably 4-5th best in the league. Fergie managed to eek out everything from it last season but it was a bit like a final blow out party before a detox.Other managers may get more from it than Moyes but it will take at least 2 years in my view to be in a position to challenge again.
1737. ESGMorning.VG didn't put much right while at Barca tho, falling out with players, making odd decisions. His 2nd spell at Barca was a joke, I believe they were near the bottom of the table when he left. He has his strengths but also a lot of weaknesses.A younger, hungrier manager would be better IMO but even then, it may take yrs to implement their plans.
@1744 Utd need more than a decent manager now though. You need to replace around 10-12 players within your squad. A new manager would, potentially, help but there is also the need to bring in the right players and blend them together. The whole system needs changing and there is a need to either get back to the Fergie way, or come away from it completely and rebuild over the next 3-4 years
Dear David at 1742, your post had been removed when I came online, I couldn't care less whether you believe me as I don't care who is who or who did what to who. Please go elsewhere if you want to play self importance1745You havent worked out that that's how it goes ? Unless you say "LFC are teh greatest" or mantion Utd without LOL midtable or MOYES OUT the votes will be negative
@1744 ESGA serious question to you...do you think by changing the manager it will cure all you problems? If you do then it is you who is fooling yourself.
This comment was removed because it broke the house rules. Explain
@1742 Morning David! This is the ironic thing about LFC fans chirping that "Utd are finished". Did LFC have a fallow period after Dalglish? How long did it last for? I do not know if they are trying 2 fool themselves by suggesting that the biggest club in England is finished cos of 1 bad season & 1 bad manager? He'll get sacked in the summer, Klopp or Van Gaal will take over. End of.
1741. ShenAs you are asking questions let me ask you this. Being the only poster on this thread this morning before your post is it not reasonable for me to think that you have had my post @1740 referred? That being the case why would you do that? I surmise that the truth hurts & you therefore don't want your fellow Manu fans embarrassed! Oh dear. How the mighty have fallen. This post deleted?
1738.wedontcarrybottlesLiverpool has always had more scouse fans than Everton and will probably do so for some time. ---Now say that again with some kind of proof, Incontravertible proof. Prrof that would be admissable in a court of law.I read it on the internet loads of times doesn't count.
