@546 Your name says it all. How is it that most ManU fans preface their opinion with "I've been a fan since......1843". Anyway, fan since 1980 so you've known the hard times!!!! You arrogant fool.
There must be a sense of unease amongst the players when Moyes sends msessages of " rebuilding " that has a detrimental effect on those not playing up to their best. Some are long in the tooth but others will worry as to their future. Not the right way to treat a team that is lacking in confidence
Moyes is inept and out of his depth and has a side that , although needs a lot of new blood , at the moment he is stuck with but he hasn't a clue what to do with. The signings he has made have been totally useless which does not bode well for the future. Get rid now before he does more damage and get a manager that knows what he is doing.... Moyes doesn't.
@544 we're not all spoilt brats you know! Been a Utd fan since 1980 (the age of 5 ) so have experienced the bad times too @545 agree 100% it's been known & said that we've needed to strengthen for the past few seasons now but Fergie did little to nothing about it especially in midfieldSaid it before & stand by it Moyes must be given till at least jan next year!A good sum trans wind is a must!
Years of under investing in quality players by the previous manager (and owners) with no replacements for key players have led to this debacle. SAF knew when it was time to go and leave the mess to others. David Moyes needs time and no little sympathy for being handed this 'black spot'. Pep knew better and could see the problem then joined Beyern.
You bunch of spoiled brats, 85 league teams would swap places with you right now. Imagine being a Pompey fan, watching your club head into the oblivion of the Conference after being in the Premiership.
Kíllìnghölmê_Clᥠ(aka Charlie Cheesecake) Whats the betting if Liverpool win tonight and they open comments up on the game you, my totally interesting not dull at all friend, will be nowhere to be seen ?
Good to see that United fans have now understood who the real culprit is in this debacle. Time to rename the stand! At the very least SAF should be barred from watching future games.
The Daily Mail reports: "sparked fury among United supporters, with some near manager David Moyes having to be restrained by stewards and others directing their anger at Ferguson, apparently for his role in appointing his successor."But not a word about it on the BBC website I note the match report isnt open to comments eitherPredictable unbiased (?) BBC
As a MU fan since I was born (27 yrs), this situation is depressing and disterssing for me. But as a matter of fact, I only knew MU as winning machine, I didn't really know how "having a bad season" could hurt that much. I really fear that MU will play second roles in years to come, and this is heartbreaking. Today, I feel empty because of the game yesterday, and of this poor season.
I hear Fergie got some stick from fans at the match, although apparently it was more for selecting Moyes than anything else. The man left Utd in dreadful shape. Anyone could see it coming for 2 or 3 seasons. A midfield screaming for a seriopus upgrade and SAF just sat on his hands and moaned about 'the right player noit being available'.
@537 Agree with That 100%. Nothing to add to that except Moyes needs to buy well, and often, in the summer
The fans are railing on the wrong guy, Moyes was on a hiding to nothingFrom day 1, this team has had these failings for at least 3 years during which time SAF did nothing to fix the problems, midfield and defensive deficiencies. Rooney and RVP carried this team last year. Compare Man C idfield to ours, not even close, Cleverly and Carrick...Silva and Toure its a joke. We don't have the horses.
M City only turned around after huge $$ on foreign players. Still it took a good manager to win their 1st title. Sir Alex has done with practically the same set of players with points to spare. Look at how the MU team was set up against Liverpool and M City. 3 defensive midfielders with no pace. No speedy wingers. Lessons not learnt. This is not about wavering support!
People choose a club 'cos they're doing well or close to home. I'm Londoner, chose Spurs in 70s with the Double BUT I've never wavered. My Mancunian Dad chose City in the 30s (when BTW they were MUCH better than tiddly ManU). As TRUE fans, supporters throughout. City fans the BEST in hard times. This season is interesting 'cos it's a REAL race. I'm tired of ManU fake fans! including China/Japan!?

532. Tideswellmanit's easy to say United should take action now, to stop a slide, but there really is no magic bullet. A team can slide for a whole number of reasons. ========You have hit the nail on the head....its like the fall of any Empire....everything goes wrong at once..therefore its not an easy fix......Moyes already spent £80m...plus £85m contract for rooney
This isn't a Fluff piece at all. It's a simple reality. I have been watching football all my life, I'm 40 mow and Liverpool were the big team. We won everything really and the slide was hard to take. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, it's easy to say United should take action now, to stop a slide, but there really is no magic bullet. A team can slide for a whole number of reasons. Go with it.
It really is so good to see Man U become a complete shambles of a team and watch the panic spread among their glory hunting fans. Fergie retiring was the best thing to happen to the Premier League in years! With the continued backing of Charlton and Rudolf the red nosed scumbag, the Chosen One should have Shan U firmly established in mid table mediocrity for years to come! #MoyesIN
