Coventry City 1-2 Milton Keynes Dons

Izale McLeod was the hero for MK Dons as he came off the bench to score the winner in their 2-1 win over Coventry.

Dele Alli scored a stunning opener for the Dons, volleying in from 25 yards, before Carl Baker equalised with a volley into the far corner.

McLeod scored with his first touch to win the game, lobbing Joe Murphy from outside the box.

Baker missed a penalty late on when Anthony Kay bought down Callum Wilson, leaving Coventry in 13th place.

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire:

"I thought in the second half we played really well, we created a lot of good opportunities and the penalty miss at a crucial time had a bearing on the outcome of the game.

"In terms of the group and their attitude towards the game I thought they were very good today.

"I'm disappointed because I thought it was a game we should have won. We deserved to get more."

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"Dele Alli worked his socks off - I think he covered every blade of grass.

"The physical components of his game are scary. He scored a wonder goal. I don't think there'll be too many up and down the country like that from a 17-year-old.

"I'm so proud of these young kids, I'm proud of the fans, and the whole football club. We've come on leaps and bounds.

"Matty Kennedy is a really good footballer - he's somebody who excites me. He gets the ball and just wants to go forward with it.

"It was an interesting game. Every time we come here we always get interesting games."
