Morecambe 0-1 Mansfield Town

A fine free-kick from Mansfield's Colin Daniel was enough to dispatch struggling Morecambe and secure all three points for the visiting side.

The Shrimps should have taken the lead early on when Mansfield's Martin Riley gave the ball away on the edge of his box but Jack Redshaw missed the target.

Daniel fired past Shrimps keeper Barry Roche before Morecambe's Andy Fleming saw red for a foul on Adam Murray.

Morecambe's Mark Hughes volleyed over late on but Mansfield hung on.

The win means the Stags now lie in 12th place while Morecambe's third straight loss leaves them in 19th, five points clear of the relegation zone.
