AFC Wimbledon 0-0 Bristol Rovers

Keeper Steve Mildenhall made numerous saves to deny Wimbledon and earn Bristol Rovers a point towards their bid for League Two survival.

Mildenhall made three crucial stops from Jack Midson, most notably when blocking a point-blank effort.

Dons midfielder George Francombe's shot was blocked by Lee Brown.

And Rovers had a penalty appeal turned down when Matt Harold was pulled by Darren Jones, but the draw puts them four points clear of the drop zone.

AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley told BBC London 94.9:

"I'm disappointed we didn't win the game as I thought we were the better team.

"We work hard at being an attacking team and today we had 33 crosses and 15 attempts. You'd like to think one of those would go in.

"The season hasn't gone as we hoped. We'd like to have been further up.

"Our little confidence lapse in front of goal this last three to four months has probably cost us the 12-14 points that would have [put us] in the play offs."

Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke told BBC Radio Bristol:

"It's a point, a point closer to where we need to be at. I thought first half we were not really at it.

"So I changed things around rather than wait and wait. I changed things at half-time and I think we looked better going forward in the second half

"They will probably count themselves unfortunate to not have won the game but we have dug in and it's tense - you can see that from the players

"The way it is at the minute the players are tense, they're edgy, they don't want to make mistakes. But we need more and we know we need more, we have to be better."
