Chico Flores has apologised for being sent off in Swansea's 1-0 Premier League defeat by Chelsea.
The loss left the Welsh club three points above the bottom three in 15th, with four games to go.
The Spaniard wrote on Twitter: "Apologize for my expulsion to the fans and to my teammates, who have made a great effort for 70 minutes with one man less. We will save us!"
It was the second time in six games that Flores was sent off.
He will now miss two of Swansea's remaining four games in which their 2013-14 fate will be determined.
Flores was sent off in the 16th minute against the Blues after being booked twice inside 120 seconds.
However, it took Chelsea until midway through the second half to take advantage with Demba Ba's goal.
Flores, who had been booked for bringing down Willian just a minute earlier, fouled Andre Schurrle and, after a long delay, referee Phil Dowd showed the Spaniard the red card.
Swansea will be without Flores against Newcastle on 19 April and Aston Villa at Liberty Stadium seven days later.
Games at home against Southampton - on 3 May - and 11 May at Sunderland complete their season.
