Braintree's Conference Premier play-off hopes took a big knock as eighth-placed Barnet held them to a draw.
Barnet took the lead in spectacular fashion when Keanu Marsh-Brown curled into the top corner from 25 yards.
Braintree levelled through a Kenny Davis penalty after he was fouled by David Stephens but Barnet held on.
The draw means Braintree require a win against Grimsby, fifth placed Gateshead to lose to Cambridge and a three goal swing to reach the play-offs.
