I will say this again...What country is this??
John smell the coffee , the SPL is a poor league. Celtic should win every game. Playing ICT 4 times a year is why it is such a poor standard. Even Celtic reserves should be in the list ;-)
Three Celtic players?? Celtic won the league by miles - all eleven should be from Celtic.
@Randy O'Toole, Eh there are no Dundee players in this list cos they are not in the division (Dundee United you mean).@tommslaford, haha, keep trying to get a reaction, it sure is a good way to spend your time!
JubblyThis is the BIG league for the BIG teams.......
Very well done to the Dundee players ! nice to see a young team having a good go at it,
Robertson goes to show that the bigger clubs should take a look at the lower divisions to find a player rather than pay an enormous wage for some rubbish foreigner.
I hear Ya Ya Toure is raging he's not been included. ;-)
I know this is the award for SPL player of the year , but for his sheer dignity and downright staunch delivery of the third tier CHAMPIONship whilst working on a mere pittance of a Warchest, I would have Mr McCoist as my cheeky chappy of the year .About as much point as this drivel...
sad reflection of the SPL if Boyd is considered as one of the top strikers
Could we also please have a list of the Welsh nominees or the N Irish league players of the year to be consistent, or are these leagues deemed to be minor when compared with the SPL?
Don't really think things like this are particularly important, since they are bound by their very nature to be subjective. In addition, there's absolutely no point in getting involved in a puerile argument about the relative standards of English and Scottish football as they are essentialy two very different beasts.
There are not many players that are of a reasonable standard in the SPL.No wonder Scotland have not qualified for tournament since 1998 and the last trophy Celtic won was in 1967.............. The SPL is conference or League standard at best.
#17 I think opposition players are not inclined to vote for Scott Brown as he is so mouthy on the pitch trying to wind people up. Valued but not admired.
Difficult choosing manager of the year.... McCall and Wright have done terrific jobs with modest budgets, and McInnes has turned around Aberdeen... but McNamara's got to be manager of the year.... he's brought those utd youngsters on in leaps and bounds, and at times they've lit up the league.
Andy Robertson. Queens Park to Dundee United to Scotland. In one season. That should be enough surely?
They're all average at best, a waste of time.
Wha no Brave Hearts! Cannot be serious
The annual hand wringing, nippy nip nip and general whinging about "ma teams better than yours" and " it's ma baw and am naw playin any more"over a pretendy pointless exercise. Total guff
